the legacy

cole Dylan Jalowitz

Elizabeth Abigail Collen LillardCole Jalowitz Cole hated college; he had only gone at his father's urging - and, most importantly, to get out from under his controlling father's thumb. His mother had died when he was only 10 years-old and his father - never much of a father to begin with - became even worse. He tried to control every aspect of Cole's life; he simply knew no other way to parent. His incessant and worsening drinking problem didn't help matters either.

Cole hated his father; he wasn't ashamed to admit it - there was no love won or lost between the two men so when Cole moved miles away to attend Kin Tech, he severed all ties with the man that had caused him nothing but heartache. He worked hard to pay for his schooling, and put all of his concentration into his studies. It wasn't the life he wanted, but anything was better than the life he'd left. When Cole got the phone call - in the middle of his sophmore year - that his father had died, he dropped out of college and moved into a small apartment in the nearby town of Legacy Acres.

For the first time in his life, he felt free to pursue his own wants and desires - and that included having a home and a family to love; something he'd been denied all of his life. He applied for a job in the adventurer field and aced the interview - excited about his new job, he finally begin to feel he was leaving that old, miserable life behind.

Things began to look even brighter the day he met Liliana Cameron. A local girl from an affluent family - the most affluent, to be honest - he never dreamed she'd give him a second glance. But she did...and then some. The courtship was short, as the two were head-over-heels in love, and a marriage quickly followed. Cole moved into the Collen Estate, which was Lili's birthright, and the couple soon gave birth to bouncing twin babies.

For the first time in his life, Cole feels the love of family and home - his life with Lili, filled with the laughter of his children, and the wise love of his in-laws, who share the home, is more than he could've ever hoped for. He even formed a strong bond and friendship with Lili's younger brother, Landon; he looks up to Cole as an older brother.

The family spend their time working and schooling, but when it's time to relax, they love to drop everything and head out on vacation together - the whole group. Cole lives for these get-aways, as they always manage to bring the huge family - which he is now a part of - even closer together.
